We STRONGLY suggest booking your Newborn Session before the baby comes, usually 2-3 months prior to your due date. Due to the nature of not knowing exactly when Baby will be coming, we take your expected due date and slot out time in a calendar around that date. Before leaving the hospital, we have our moms call us to set up the actual appointment time once the baby arrives. Because Babies are unpredictable, we only take a select amount of babies each month so scheduling your ‘date’ with us early is recommended.
For Newborn images with the sleeping baby curled into adorable poses, the best time to have your session is 5-10 days after birth. During a newborn session, the main focus is of the baby and while it is possible to get a few images with mom or dad to celebrate your little one, we do concentrate on the baby so moms please do not fret over! There is minimal, if any, need for you to actually be in the photographs. Family images can be taken during the six month and one year session as well. These are the better times for a group shot because Baby can now support him/herself and is full of personality.
